Almost done

So, first semester of my last year (hopefully) of my undergrad, and it was not easy. hahah

so many things and people try and stand in your way, but you've just got to not take it and show who is boss of your own life. Cuz' drums arent just some hobby. For me anyway. So now that that is almost done, (one more final) i get to go home soon (so excited!) i get to see Prince the night i land and the next day i start gigging and thangs, so not much of a break but im glad to get a break from Antigonish.


ALRIGHT, on to drums and things...

I haven't been able to play nearly as much as i want with finals going on, so ive been trying to do a lot of listening while studying, although, it is super hard because i just want to listen to the music and then i stop studying and start dissecting. So basically im failing at studying... Anyways check this track, its Eryka Badu with the Roots, Quest is the MAN . That lil drum and bass thang hes got goin on at the end, and not to mention in the last half of the hook Badus got these quarter note triplets... theyre just perfect, i heard from a little bird that Jill Scott wrote the melody, AS IF I DIDNT LOVE HER ENOUGH. lol. Last night i was watching a Chris Potter Video, and NATE SMITH was hittin, it was unbelieveable.

.... Ive been playing on this snare drum i bought for 100 bucks. its a piccolo, and im in love, i just love that tight, tight sound.

Okay, its about time i hit the books.... Ive procrastinated long enough.
